How To Live A Supernatural Lifestyle

Do you burn to live more like Jesus? Did you know that is His desire for you? Jesus walked the earth proclaiming the Gospel, healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, and casting out demons. He did this in true intimacy with our Heavenly Father. He modeled what we are to do as followers of Him. So why are most Christians not walking in this deep relationship of love and of power? Could this be a key to life? I believe the Lord wants to change things in His Body. We will not be a cold or lukewarm church! We will be a spotless bride to our coming Bridegroom! Here are some ways and great resources to catapult you into this call. A call to walk like Jesus. A call to live a supernatural lifestyle!

Start doing Supernatural Treasure Hunts. Or better yet, start a Supernatural Treasure Hunt group and bring the kiddos! This is where the Lord gives you Words of knowledge and each word literally makes up your map to find His Treasures. The people He has set up for you to pray for. I HIGHLY recommend the resources below as well. They changed my life! This is an amazing way to evangelize to people whom you wouldn’t normally talk to. It’s great to have your kids join in. They do not have to wait till they are grown up to fulfill their calling and purpose for the Lord. It is a powerful thing to see kids carrying the Kingdom of God and releasing it. This is their inheritance as well as ours!

Start prophesying over people. Prophesying means to encourage or exhort. Prophesying is not bringing judgement as seen mostly in the Old Testament. We are in a New Covenant and we are to speak LIFE into people. Not condemnation. As you step out, you will start getting more detailed Words for people. Even stranger’s names. It’s awesome! When you prophesy, you encourage people and point their destiny in God’s direction! This is VERY powerful! You can change a person’s life all because you stopped for the One above and listened and then stopped for the one in front of you to give HIS message.

Start creating prophetic and healing art. This can be as simple as a crayon drawing on a card with a word or scripture inside to as extravagant as a large oil painted canvas. Ask God what to draw. Let Holy Spirit guide you in every stroke and color. Listen to any words or Scriptures that come to you and either add them to the piece or let the person, whom God leads you to give the art to, know what He told you about it. I have personally seen people healed and hit by the power of God when they touch their art. You will be amazed at how the Lord will speak to people through art and how it can literally shift a person’s life and our culture!

Be led by Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is the POWER. You have to have a relationship with Him as you start to live this lifestyle. This is so important! If you are in a grocery store or walking down main street and suddenly you hear in your spirit to pray for the person in front of you. Take the risk! God wants to do something in their life. He is trusting you to be the key for Him to move in their life. It is an honor to be available for the Lord. We have been bought with a price! That is the blood of Jesus. We are not our own anymore. We were crucified with Christ. And you will experience His fullness as you walk in His will.

Be the Lord’s hands in media! We all have some sort of sphere of influence through media. Whether it be MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, or YouTube. Even text messaging and blogging! There are so many opportunities to be yourself and not be ashamed of the Gospel. You can ask your friends if they need prayer. But don’t just say a little prayer. Actually write them back the prayer the Lord put on your heart to say and pray. This will build their faith and release what is needed to answer the prayer. I have testimonies of marriages being restored, mother/daughter relationships being reconciled, physical healings take place, people giving their lives to Christ, and even people getting baptized in the Holy Spirit! He wants to do the miraculous through these means more than ever!

These are just a few ways to start shifting culture and your family’s culture to living a Supernatural Life. You will be surprised at how this will change you forever! The Scriptures reveal how important it was for Jesus to meet with His Father daily as well. How much more for us? Reading your Bible daily and listening to an audio Bible will help you stay rooted and grow even more in the Lord.
